Welcome to Hunters Run Pet Camp! We know how much you want your pets to enjoy their vacation, too, when you're away from home.
Sometimes they may need a home away from home when you have company or cleaning scheduled.
We are pet owners and animal lovers, so we hope that our facility will provide you with peace of mind in knowing that your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while they are with us. We will give them a home away from home, providing them the best of care.
We welcome dogs and cats of most all shapes, sizes, and breeds. We do not board dangerous or aggressive animals, however, so please keep this in mind. We look forward to meeting you and your pets!

About Us

Passion for Animals

We are family owned and operated (facilities located on our private residence). We are animal lovers, and we know how concerned you are that your pet will have the best of care while they are away from home. We can assure you that you can have peace of mind in knowing that we treat and love your pets the same way we treat and love ours. They will not only be in a safe and comfortable environment, but they will have fun at camp, too!

We have outdoor, grassed runs with doggie doors to an inside heated, air conditioned pet home. Our cat room is separate from the dogs, with a window looking into the offices and outdoors for bird watching. All pet areas are cleaned/disinfected and thoroughly inspected daily. Pets have onsite supervision. We have comfortable dog beds, with the best of materials used in the construction of our pet areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions We've gotten from pet owners and previous clients. Whether you’re wondering what a typical day is like while you’re away, or you’re curious whether your pet will be around other pets, we are happy to address any questions and concerns you may have.

Will my pet miss me?

Of course your pet will miss you, but they will be so excited to be visiting new and old friends at camp that they won't be too sad. If your pet is one that needs extra love and attention because they are insecure, please just let us know so that we can meet that need for them. We want your pets happy and excited to be here and we want them to look forward to visiting us again.

Can I keep my pets together?

Yes, it is perfectly fine to keep your own pets from the same household together, if they are used to being together. Please let us know ahead of time so that we can be prepared.

How are the pets fed?

We feed and recommend Pedigree products. We have had great success with this and the dogs just love it. If you prefer, please bring your own regular food. We will be happy to meet any special dietary needs your pet may have.

What about fleas?

Fleas are a year round concern. We do our part to maintain a flea-free environment, please do yours. We recommend using a preventative year round. All pets found with un-welcome guests will be treated immediately, and you will be charged accordingly.

What about health?

We board healthy pets - and we want them to stay healthy, too! Vaccination records must be current and provided before your pet's visit. Vaccinations records are required in writing from a veterinarian and must be current. There are no exceptions to this. We require Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordetella. **Records can be emailed to huntersrunpetcamp@gmail.com or snap a photo and text to 706-592-6510.

What if my pet becomes ill while visiting camp?

We have a licensed veterinarian on call for emergencies, but we will attempt to contact you and your veterinarian first. We will keep a record of your personal veterinarian's contact information in the event they must be called.

My pet is on several medications. Can you administer these for me?

Of course, we will be glad to keep your pet on regular medications, as our goal is to keep your pet healthy and happy!

Can I tour the facilities prior to my pet's visit?

Yes, please give us a call so that we can make sure we are available to show you around. We keep our fence locked, so we will need to meet you at the gate. Our pets and our family are too precious to us to allow strangers on the property unescorted. Hopefully you won't be a stranger for long, though! We look forward to getting to know you and your pets.

Do you accept dogs who are aggressive?

For the safety of our staff and customers, we do not accept dogs that show aggression - no exceptions. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, for any reason we feel is necessary. Safety is our number one priority!
