Will my pet miss me? Of course your pet will miss you, but they will be so excited to be visiting new and old friends at camp that they won't be too sad. If your pet is one that needs extra love and attention because they are insecure, please just let us know so that we can meet that need for them. We want your pets happy and excited to be here and we want them to look forward to visiting us again.
Can I keep my pets together? Yes, it is perfectly fine to keep your own pets from the same household together, if they are used to being together. Please let us know ahead of time so that we can be prepared.
How are the pets fed? We feed and recommend Pedigree products. We have had great success with this and the dogs just love it. If you prefer, please bring your own regular food. We will be happy to meet any special dietary needs your pet may have.
What about fleas? Fleas are a year round concern. We do our part to maintain a flea-free environment, please do yours. We recommend using a preventative year round. All pets found with un-welcome guests will be treated immediately, and you will be charged accordingly.
What about health? We board healthy pets - and we want them to stay healthy, too! Vaccination records must be current and provided before your pet's visit. Vaccinations records are required in writing from a veterinarian and must be current. There are no exceptions to this. We require Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordettela. **Records can be faxed to 706-592-6519.
What if my pet becomes ill while visiting camp? We have a licensed veterinarian on call for emergencies, but we will attempt to contact you and your veterinarian first. We will keep a record of your personal veterinarian's contact information in the event they must be called.
My pet is on several medications. Can you administer these for me? Of course, we will be glad to keep your pet on regular medications, as our goal is to keep your pet healthy and happy!
Can I tour the facilities prior to my pet's visit? Yes, please give us a call so that we can make sure we are available to show you around. We keep our fence locked, so we will need to meet you at the gate. Our pets and our family are too precious to us to allow strangers on the property unescorted. Hopefully you won't be a stranger for long, though! We look forward to getting to know you and your pets.
